Let's tackle the northern stretch of Tanbark Trail! We'll be meeting at the parking area for Hickory Creek Wilderness Trail, and tackling 6.2 miles out-and-back on Tanbark Trail, through the big rocks and the steeper section leading to Route 62 and the Allegheny River. (Hickory Creek Wilderness Trail parking area is just before Hearts Content Recreation Area.)

Gear: Weather appropriate layers, day pack, 1-2 liters of water, trail snacks, sunscreen, bugspray
Note: We will meet in the Hickory Creek wilderness trail parking lot. From there we can carpool to the start in the middle and hike to 62 and back. This will be a difficult hike because of the elevation so if you want a challenge her it is! As the weather gets warmer water becomes even more important. Be sure to carry a surplus of water.
