We hope you'll join us at Allegheny Outfitters in Warren, PA the weekend before Earth Day for our first ever Plogging event!
This is a fun way to get outside and do some good for your local community - help clear litter to make your neighborhood more safe and beautiful! Plogging is a mix of jogging and picking up litter, it can be done solo or with a friend or group of friends. Plogging does not have to be done on the run, plogging can be enjoyed while leisurely walking and chatting!
This feel-good event begins with an informative talk by Kara Bemis, 5 Gyres Ambassador & environmental activist, about the dangers and enormity of plastic pollution. After the 30 minute presentation participants will be given gloves to wear while collecting litter together around downtown Warren. After collecting we will reconvene at the store and look at everyone's impact, followed by a few prize giveaways by random drawing!
This is a free, family-friendly event! All are welcome!
