It's that time of year again folks! We've selected films and some new shorts that we love watching in our winter downtime, and are excited to share 'em! We'll be firing up the screen at 5:30 pm on Friday, January 31st to watch the a series of short films including, "The Salad Days". Bring your favorite camp chair and snacks and drinks if you'd like 'em!
About "The Salad Days": Something about rowing a boat and being on a river captivated Herm Hoops. Falling in love with the experience at a young age, Herm Hoops ended up dedicating his life to protecting the 83 miles of Desolation Canyon. Now retired from a professional career as a ranger, educator and interpreter in Dinosaur National Monument, Herm's affair for the Green River is as strong as ever, even as he battles life-threatening cancer. To date, he has run the canyon 123 times and Rig To Flip went along on his most recent, last journey.
Come catch the short film that captured that trip, some of the stories, and the message that Herm has dedicated his life to living. Check out the trailer here: https://vimeo.com/324738836.
We will be screening two other short films (under 15 minutes) this evening with a short intermission in-between each.
