Winter Film Series at AO - Part II

  • Allegheny Outfitters 20 Clark Street Warren, PA, 16365 United States (map)

It's that time of year again folks!

We'll be firing up the screen at 5:30 pm on Thursday, February 23rd to watch three films, with a short intermission between each. (Note: The 2nd and 3rd films are a continuance from February 16th.) Bring your favorite camp chair, snacks, and drinks if you'd like 'em! (Bent Run Brewing Company will be open as well!)

(Please note: All have some spotty strong language.)

About the films:

DREAM JOB (14 min)
A comedy documentary about a girl working in the ski industry who decides to become one of the stars, DREAM JOB begs the question - they go up, they go down, how hard can it be? The film follows comedian Katie Burrell through "days in the life" with three of the industry's biggest names: Leah Evans, founder of Girls Do Ski, Christina Lustenberger, ex-Olympian and big mountain skier, and Diny Harrison, the first fully certified female guide in North America. Needless to say, she finds out how hard it really can be.

------

Aftershock: Everest and the Nepal Earthquake, Episode 2 (53 min)
No Way Out. In the aftermath of the earthquake, search-and-rescue efforts begin from the city to the mountains as survivors look for hope in desperate situations.

Aftershock: Everest and the Nepal Earthquake, Episode 3 (58 min)
Escape. Days after the earthquake, climbers focus on survival on Mount Everest, tensions rise in Langtang Valley and rescuers perform miracles in Kathmandu.
