Nothing makes you appreciate what you have in your backyard quite like getting away and coming home with a fresh set of eyes. A few years ago our family of five (two "adults", two pre-teens and one teenager) packed up and embarked on a month-long adventure to explore National Parks. We were able to backpack, hike, explore and camp at 10 Parks, while covering just over 9,000 miles - on a budget.
When we arrived back home we were bombarded with questions. How did we decide what Parks to explore? Where did we camp? What gear did we take? How much did it cost? How were our kids able to miss school for a month? And of course, how did we all survive in a car together for that many days? (lol)
Planning has now begun for our next road trip adventure in the fall of 2021. We've learned a lot the last few years, and we'd love to share with you, and hear your National Park/road trip recommendations as well!
We hope you'll join us at AO on Saturday, March 21st at noon. Bring your maps (or use ours) and adventurous spirit!
